Miller Project

In progress...please read to see the stages of progress and stay tuned to see the final completed project.

The first step in the project was to make sure the flooring and color of the room are correct for the customer's desires. In this case mostly neutral wall colors and furniture.

The main living area has a large fireplace. The client went with a suggested custom made metal fireplace surround to really make the room pop! We also added a metal banister in their foyer to give the space an updated look and to tie the rooms together.

The rattan lights are a fun feature the client wanted to add to her space. So we did a mix and match of different colors and patterns. These will hang over her beautifully appointed coffee table especially picked to go along with the metal features in this room.

Because they have a combined living and dining space with a large family, I had to come up with a unique space. Using the wall of windows including two that are angled it gave me an idea of doing two round tables instead of doing one large traditional rectangular table. This change also created dining space for 12 people! This also lent to not impeding access to their deck or the magnificent view overlooking their lake!

Then onto gathering the large pieces of furniture! Once those were decided upon I then began to work in the accent pieces of furniture and decor to tie the room together!

The accent wall is as stylish wallpaper treatment that really finishes the room.

Between the windows we added large candelabras to bring just a splash of black to the bare spaces and creating connectivity.

This client wanted some greens colors in her decor. So I decided to make two succulents for the round tables, added a green lamp that will sit on a bronze table along with some green trees and plants to each side of the fireplace.

In the kitchen we went with a beautiful a brown 3-D polished ceramic to bring another dimension to the white counter tops and cabinets. Open shelving is not only a very popular trend now but is easy access to regular use items. We added some shelves to this kitchen for design and functionality. In addition to the above there will be a high bar top table in the kitchen with accent bar stools that will help this family peer out over their landscape.

Thumb through the pictures. But please come back to see the final finishes!
